ALBANY, GA -- Residents in Plains made their way into the street tonight to bring in the Christmas season.
Floats from the fire and police departments made their way along the parade route, as locals lined the street.
Former President, Jimmy Carter, was also in attendance, and addressed the crowd from a balcony above the parade.
"We're always glad to see how many people come and enjoy it with us, so whether you stay here or are just driving through, enjoy the lights!" said President Carter.
Officials with the parade say its always an honor to have President Carter in attendance, and added that the parade went on without a hitch.
