For those who may have missed it, Riverside Icetown?s Richard Dornbush (above) finished fifth at last week?s Four Continents international event in Osaka, Japan, after placing third in the short program. U.S. national champion Max Aaron was fourth overall in an event won in an upset by Canada?s Kevin Reynolds.
What Dornbush had to say about it, according to the U.S. Skating quote sheet:
?I was happy with it. I didn?t fall at all, which is always a plus. There were a few mistakes there that really dragged down my score but I?m happy overall.
? ? I want to regroup and plan for the next season. My main goals are going to be to stay healthy and train as hard as I can the whole way through.?
That last may have been a reference to the ankle problems that kept nagging at him throughout the season.
